Stillness of the mind like the deep blue of the sky
1、身定如山
The body becomes as still as a great mountain. A mountain is unaffected by the winds and dramas swirling around it. Clouds come and go, rains pelt and snows melt, but the mountain remains.
身有高山之定,不受云戲之擾。云霧聚散,雨降雪融,山自巋然。
2、息定如水
Stillness here does not mean cessation. The breath becomes quiet, unlabored and gentle. Like the surface of a mountain lake, unruffled by wayward breezes, the breath is calm.
息定非止。息靜、息暢、息調伏。如山中湖面,不以邪風波瀾。
3、心定如天
The sky is always with us. Clouds may block our view, but we know with a certainty beyond faith that, behind the clouds, the deep blue sky is there.
天常隨我。云可遮目,未曾遮天,撥云見天,我心自知
